What are you doing to honor Engineer’s week? You might consider reaching out to local engineers to ask for their participation, having an engineering-STEM event, or even a poetry contest with a focus on engineering and STEM.
More than 1.7 million new engineers and computer scientists will be needed over the next ten years, but the U.S. is on track to only fill 30% of these positions. Misha Malyshev, of Teza Technologies, partners with nonprofits to close this gap and increase STEM learning opportunities for students. Engineers Week takes place February 21st-February 27th and is a chance to introduce students to engineering and STEM careers and celebrate the important work engineers do in the world.
